Ed Sheeran performs on the Today Show to the 'biggest crowd this year'

They love to watch him strum

So we clearly aren't the only ones who appreciate Ed Sheeran's musical talents or ginger hair, because apparently when he performed on NBC's Today Show on Friday, fans had already been queuing for TWO WHOLE DAYS to catch a glimpse of his performance. WOW to the ZER.

Yup - the dedicated bunch were so eager to catch Eduardo perform Lego House with nothing but his trusty guitar that they had been patiently waiting to get into the Rockerfeller Plaza since ruddy Wednesday, which must have been a nightmare for people who wanted to get inside and have a hot dog or something else equally as American.

But whereas we'd probably get a massive case of stage-fright and have to imagine the crowd in some form of unicorn oneside just to cope with performing in front of them, Ed took it all in his stride and tweeted: "New York, they are saying this is the biggest crowd they have had this year, it hasn't even started yet, thank you all so much for coming."

And clearly his acoustic set delighted the fans, who screamed A LOT and waved large letters of Ed's name around. (Well, the 'E' and 'D' anyway which is basically the whole thing but still.) We also aren't sure why so many people were wearing orange either, but we like to think it was in dedication to Ed's fiery locks.

And Ed obviously didn't have to picture anybody in a themed onesie and had a bloody awesome time onstage as he tweeted afterwards: "Thank you to the 10,000 of you who turned up at the rockerfeller plaze today ! So much fun x [sic]."

Have a looksie below and let us know what you think of Ed's performance.
