Lady Gaga looks like a different person in a make-up free snap she posted to a website.

In the picture the singer has her face tilted to one side with dark locks and she looks nothing like her usual self.

Along with the dramatic picture Gaga wrote: ' ARTPOP as they pry the single from my bleeding fingers. it's a scary thing to revisit those things underneath, the pain in your past. but all I found was raw passion. I thought I was destroyed inside. I'm just ready to fight. start the music.'

In the picture the Born This Way singer sports a pale complexion and her eyebrows are barely there.

She is dressed in a white T-shirt that hangs off one shoulder and is wearing no bra underneath.

Gaga, who is no stranger to changing her appearance, posted the snap to a fan site Littlemonsters.com.

She looks trimmer than she has in recent months, with a pronounced collar bone on display.

Gaga, who has failed to comment on reports that she has had a nose job in recent weeks, was named as the top earning celebrity under 30 years old by Forbes magazine.

The singer made an estimated $80million (£52million) in the last 12 months, despite being forced to cancel part of her tour after having hip surgery.

Last year she was ranked at number four, while Taylor Swift, who topped the poll in 2012, has dropped to third place with $55m (£36m).

As well as posing bare-faced Gaga recently stripped off for V magazine and is seen posing on a stool with her legs apart while using just her hands to protect her modesty.

The 27-year-old's face is also naked in the shot as she goes completely make-up free.

Gaga flashes a toothy smile as she proudly shows off her natural self, and sports full dark blonde ombre curls which cascade down her shoulders and cover one eye.

The Paparazzi hit-maker looks very slender in the revealing snap, while tattoos on her left arm can just be seen.

The image was posted on photographer Vinoodh Matadi's Instagram page on Saturday along with the caption: 'Get ready world for our pics of @ladygaga for @vmagazine !kisses iv #artpop.'

Gaga is certainly doing well at drumming up excitement for her upcoming album ARTPOP.

As well as her birthday suit photo shoot, a strange video which is believed to be part of promotional work for the record has been leaked online.

In the 23 second clip, Gaga, who recently set tongues wagging about her under wraps album when she deleted her Twitter page, repeatedly licks a monster like hand in slow motion.

The claw pops up from the bottom of the screen and looks like a plastic mannequin hand, although parts of the yellowish paint have chipped off.

It was revealed earlier this month that ARTPOP's debut track will be released on August 19.

Meanwhile the album itself will hit the shelves and be available for download on November 11, with pre-orders beginning September 1.
