Ed Sheeran has been having a little chat about the days before he was a global superstar - and revealed that far from the adoring audiences he plays to these days, people actually used to hurl homemade missiles at him. Of the bottle variety.
Speaking to The Crosby Press, Ed admitted that bad gig experiences in the past have made him appreciate playing to such lovely audiences even more.
"Bottles being thrown on stage, not being allowed to perform because I was too young, missing the last train home because you were waiting for people to turn up who never did," he listed, when asked about tales of horror from his pre-fame days.
"I've played a lot of shows to no one, that's what makes the gigs now so awesome," he added.
Oh Eddie Spagheddi, these bottle launchers must be found and punished. Perhaps locked in a room with Jedward's latest single on repeat?
Ed also cleared up rumours that a track sampling tunes from Buffy the Vampire Slayer will feature on his next album, confessing: "It's not actually on this album. I just made a tune sampling some background music from Buffy. I love Buffy, I watch it a lot, and some of the soundtrack is brilliant."
Hmm - on the subject of said album Mr Sheeran... can we hear it yet?
