The 23-second video is reported to be an official piece of footage from the promotional campaign for the songbird's third studio album, ARTPOP.
The clips shows the singer- who calls herself Mother Monster and her fans "little monsters" - gently move her tongue along the fingertips of a not-quite-human hand.
She sports chocolate brown hair, natural eye make-up and long lashes while staring seductively into the camera.
The newly-emerged footage follows the announcement that Lady Gaga's follow-up to 2011's Born This Way will be officially released in November.
The album will be accompanied by an app available alongside the release, while a new single is due out next month.
The US star's Twitter account has gone into lockdown with no official images or new tweets in anticipation of further announcements.
The singer - who has been working on ARTPOP over the past year - is currently the most-followed female on the social networking site, but has decided to temporarily "shut down" her profile.
The star's bio now reads: "This interface has been shutdown temporarily. Please check back for updates."
Lady Gaga releases her new single on August 19, with the album ARTPOP following on November 11.
