Lady Gaga doesn't want any applause.

The 27-year-old singer released a promo for her new album, "ARTPOP," and single, "Applause," with a very interesting twist on marketing.

"If you don't like pop music, you should turn this off," the promo begins with Gaga wearing a plastic face mask and staring into the camera.

But instead of urging fans to support her new project, it tells them to do the opposite by first bashing the "Bad Romance" singer.

"Lady Gaga is no longer relevant," said writing at the bottom of the screen. "Ever since 'Born This Way,' she's a flop."

It then goes on to instruct people against the purchase of her new song.

"DO NOT buy her new single 'Applause' on iTunes," it showed. "Give her no A-P-P-L-A-U-S-E. DON'T dance to the song at all."

The video finishes by stating that people should not buy Gaga's new album, "ARTPOP" on Nov. 11.

The reverse psychology promotion comes one day after Gaga released her new single early due to snippets that leaked Saturday.

In another marketing stunt sure to turn heads, Gaga was spotted in Los Angeles on Monday sporting theatrical face paint, an obvious nod to her new album's title.
