Singer Ed Sheeran has become the latest celebrity to criticise former child star Miley Cyrus for her provocative dance moves.
Speaking at a tribute concert to mark the 20th anniversary of Stephen Lawrence's murder, he said: "I'm going to make it clear about Miley Cyrus, I think she's got an amazing voice and amazing songs."
But the Ivor Novello award-winning songwriter went on to compare her signature move - twerking - to the routines performed in a strip club.
He said: "She's very good at controversy and she's good at causing a scene. I just think encouraging young people how to twerk might be a bad thing because it's a stripper's move."
He added: "If I had a daughter who was nine, I wouldn't want her twerking."
Cyrus, the former star of Disney's Hannah Montana franchise, caused controversy at the MTV music video awards in August.
She took to the stage wearing nothing but a latex bra and knickers to perform her provocative hip-thrusting dance.
