Chick-fil-A will begin a long-planned expansion of its Twin Cities footprint with store openings next week. It's expecting customers to wake up before the roosters.
The Pioneer Press has dates for the chain's four new stores in the Twin Cities (the first two open Thursday, Oct. 10, in Coon Rapids and Maple Grove). Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A is promising a year's worth of free meals (in corporate speak, " a year's worth" means one per week for a year) for the first 100 adults in line at each store. Yes, they're expecting people to camp out. It happens.
And there's no excuse for not being on line already, the Business Journal had reported on the early plans for the stores, addresses and all, in summer 2012.
Another two restaurants will open in November in Apple Valley and Bloomington - including one in an I-494 center owned by Target Corp.
